As a next-generation, user-tested CSTD solution designed to advance hazardous drug safety, the system offers an intuitive, one-step, straight-push connection that does not require alignment or orientation, and a power grip that aligns with NIOSH recommendations for ergonomics. For safety considerations, it incorporates the use of double membranes and vapor capture mechanisms, which have been demonstrated to help reduce the risk of HD exposure. The system can also reduce residual fluid loss, meets the requirements of the NIOSH IPA draft CSTD-test protocol, and prevents microbial ingress for up to 168 hours and 10 penetrations.
